FAQ
What is CWFF?
The Canary Wharf Film Festival (CWFF) was established in 2007 to bring creative and commercial minds together, changing preconceived notions of Canary Wharf and highlighting it as London’s newest creative hub. CWFF also aims to open the boundaries of filmmaking as a whole by offering an exciting programme of local, national and international filmmaking talent.
How do we submit to CWFF09?
Whoooah, hold your horses! If you sign up to our email bulletins, we'll let you know as soon as the 2009 plan is in place.
Why Canary Wharf?
Canary Wharf is well known as London’s newest business district, but few people realise there is a burgeoning arts community in the local area. CWFF aims to bolster this artistic growth by drawing filmmakers and film-lovers to this relatively undiscovered, eye-catching part of the city.
When are submissions open?
Submissions for CWFF 08 open closed Tuesday 10th June 08 and we now have all our great films. Submissions for CWFF 09 will open around March 09. Sign up for CWFF News to hear about it first!
Booking
How much are tickets? How do I book?
Tickets are £3 for paid screenings and Q&As and can be booked online via the CWFF website using PayPal. Some events are free, as indicated in the programme. Simply follow each stage through the booking system and back to the CWFF website. You will receive an e-ticket as confirmation of your purchase. YOU MUST PRINT THIS OUT AND BRING IT WITH YOU TO THE SCREENING TO GAIN ENTRY.
Can I buy tickets at the venues?
Of course you can! Tickets can be purchased in person from our friendly staff at each venue – just look for the CWFF desk.
I don’t have a PayPal account, how can I book tickets?
Even though we use Paypal to accept payments, you don’t need to have a PayPal account. You can book as long as you have a valid credit or debit card.
I haven’t received my e-ticket/Festival Pass.
Check your email’s Junk/Spam folder. If you are sure you have received nothing please contact enquiries@cwff.org.uk
What’s this Festival Pass thing?
The CWFF Festival Pass costs just £13 and gives you unlimited access to all CWFF 08 screenings and Q&As – BUT YOU STILL HAVE TO BOOK YOUR SEAT BEFOREHAND. Only one festival pass per person, and only one seat can be booked per pass for each screening.
Can I come to the Awards Show?
Limited tickets are available to the general public for the Awards Show, priced £8, or £5 if you are signed up to CWFF News or BTMS. Book your tickets early!
Can I bring my kids along?
All screenings carry an 18 certificate except for the Young Talent section. Unfortunately no under 18s can be admitted to the CWFF screenings. By purchasing online tickets you confirm you are 18 years of age or over.
