Blaine Brothers

Total Running Time: 60 min

Featured in Screen International’s “Stars of Tomorrow 2006”, the Blaine Brothers (Ben and Chris) are self-taught filmmakers who have learnt their craft by their mistakes, their flukes and a lot of hard work. Previous work includes videos for Steel Pulse (nominated for best music video at Rushes) and Art Brut (voted second in “best cartoon video of all time” by MTV2), the cult documentary “Rocklands” and the BAFTA short-listed films “Russell Square”, “Burnt Bernard” and “Free Speech”, which was also nominated for best film at Rushes in 2004.

Since 2004 they have been working with Shooting People, the UK’s leading community of independent filmmakers, running their Mobile Cinema, a travelling showcase of shorts by talented new filmmakers in the UK, which has connected them with filmmakers and audiences up and down the country.
